Born and bred in Los Angeles, California, Hollywood Hills Exotics specializes in captive-bred New Caledonian geckos and select species of dart frogs, with a particular focus on the genus Oophaga. Every animal we produce is bred and raised here in Los Angeles with a focus on ethical breeding and naturalistic husbandry.

We believe reptiles and amphibians do best when they’re given the opportunity to live as naturally as possible. Every animal is raised in a fully bioactive enclosure designed to encourage natural behaviors like climbing, hunting, and exploring. We believe those opportunities create healthier, less stressed animals.

You’ll never find our animals in storage bins or rack systems. Every gecko and frog is raised in a naturalistic enclosure with proper lighting, humidity, UV lighting where appropriate, and enrichment from the day they’re born.

We care just as much about how our animals are raised as the animals themselves. Every pairing is intentional and planned with health, genetics, and the future of the species in mind. We believe responsible breeding is about making thoughtful decisions at every stage, from selecting breeding pairs to raising healthy, well-started animals before they leave our care.
